The RED GEMINI 5K S35 is a new sensor that features dual sensitivity modes. It has modes for standard lighting conditions, as well as a low-light performance. The larger sensor size of 30.72 x 18.00 mm (Diagonal: 35.61 mm) provides a wider field of view than then HELIUM sensor. Because of this, it has a maximum resolution of 5120 x 3000 (15.36 MP). Designed around the innovative modular architecture of the DSMC2™ family, GEMINI is compatible with all of your DSMC2 accessories.
RED GEMINI 5K S35 is the highest sensitivity sensor to date and offers significantly increased performance in low-light settings and improved performance in shadows.
With features like cable-free peripherals, integrated media bay, wireless control, and more—DSMC2 is also compatible with a growing arsenal of modules and accessories from RED and other Third-Party manufacturers. Tack on interchangeable OLPFs and lens mounts and DSMC2 gives you the ultimate control over your footage
A GEMINI is capable of data write speeds of 300 MB/s, and can simultaneously record in REDCODE RAW and Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHR/HD.
