The P&S Evolution 2x KOWA Anamorphic lenses are compact prime lenses based on the original KOWA Anamorphic Prime lenses. They maintain the same optical design and front anamorphic principles. Therefore recreating the look of the original lenses. However, the housing features a modern design and mechanics.
Low in contrast and warm in colour, these lenses are built in a compact, lightweight housing. In addition, modern cam-driven focusing mechanics provide reliability missing from many sets of the originals. The focus throw also differs from the original, offering a 200 degree angle on the focus ring and a 100 degree on the aperture. In addition, 0.8 gear rings are in the same position throughout the set. The result is simpler and quicker lens changes.
The 80mm front diameter offers ease-of-use with matte boxes. And the 77mm thread allows the use of screw in filters, making them ideal for handheld and Steadicam jobs.
