Description

The Laowa Nanomorph’s are Super-35 Anamorphic lenses. Featuring a 1.5x anamorphic squeeze ratio and blue flares. In addition, markings are in meters and feet, and the lenses all have standard 0.8 MOD cine gears. The Nanomorph’s can be provided in ARRI PL or Canon EF mount.

The first release includes 27, 35, and 50mm lenses. We also, stock Nanomorph kits with Amber or Neutral (Silver) flares.

Nanomorph’s are compact and lightweight cinema lenses. All have a 77mm front filter thread. In addition, a 13-blade iris provides a soft, pleasing bokeh.

Constant 1.5x Squeeze Ratio

The 1.5x squeeze ratio provides a  balance between the size and anamorphic intensity. With a 1.5x squeeze ratio, you will have a 2.66:1 on a 16:9 sensor after de-squeeze. There is also room for you to crop into a 2.4:1 widescreen ratio.

This squeeze ratio also renders oval bokeh that gives an artistic touch to the image. It also creates a blurry and creamy background that pops out the subject.

  • The 16.9″ close focus distance is short so users can create closer shots. It renders a shallower depth of field. This makes the sense of compression stronger and the bokeh more oval-shaped.
