The Cooke SP3 Cinema Prime lenses are designed for mirrorless cameras. They come in E-Mount, RF-Mount or L-Mount. The SP3’s by Cooke Optics have outstanding optical performance. In addition, all lenses cover Full-Frame sensors. These lenses are based on the famous Cooke Speed Panchro lenses. However, the SP3 primes are optically and mechanically optimised for full-frame mirrorless cameras.
These lenses are tough yet lightweight. In addition, the SP3’s are compact. Focus and iris mechanics are aligned across the series. This enables quick lens changes when using matte boxes and FIZ (focus/iris/zoom) systems. Each lens in the series matches the Cooke Panchro/i Classic series. Thus use the SP3 primes as a “B” or “C” camera. Finally. use on a drone or gimbal that complements your “A” camera footage.
The Cooke Look
The SP3 primes are based on the classic Cooke look. Popularised in Hollywood films. Outstanding definition and resolution are complemented by a classic fall-off towards the frame edge. In addition, proprietary Cooke optical coatings make flare controlled. Also the lenses are colour matched across the series. Finally, the Cooke SP3’s give lovely skin tone and character.
