Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS Z Lens

The Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS is a new type of lens. It crosses the boundary between stills and cinema applications. In addition, the f/2.8 maximum aperture is consistent across the zoom range.

Description

The Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L is a multi-use zoom lens for photography and video. The RF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS USM Z is the first of its kind at this focal length and aperture. It uses dual Nano USM motors, providing fast and nearly silent auto-focus. The constant f/2.8 aperture allows for optimal low light performance. In addition, this provides flattering bokeh for portraits at any focal length. The in-lens optical image stabilisation gives five and a half stops of correction. Or eight stops with Coordinated IS when paired with a compatible camera.

The Canon 70-200mm f/2.8 Z has four ultra-low dispersion elements. In addition, three aspherical elements help create sharper images and reduce chromatic and spherical aberrations. Finally, the RF 70-200mm f/2.8 has Super Spectra, Air Sphere, and Fluorine coatings. These minimise ghosting and flare caused by lens surface reflection.
