The Canon RF 50mm f1.2L USM is an ultra high speed full-frame prime lens. The lens features a maximum aperture of f/1.2. This allows for shooting in low light conditions. The Canon RF 50mm f/1.2L USM offers a razor thin depth of field, providing fine control over subject isolation. It has 10 circular aperture blades to help ensure that out of focus areas are rendered smoothly.
The RF 50mm f1.2L features a ring-type USM (ultra-sonic motor) with optimised focusing algorithms and a high-speed CPU. This enables the lens to drive autofocus at an incredibly high speed, while maintaining silent operation. Focusing is all internal with full time manual focusing override available. This allows for delicate focus adjustments if necessary.
The RF 50mm f/1.2L USM features Canon’s new lens control ring offering customisable control over aperture, shutter speed, ISO or exposure compensation. The front filter thread size is 77mm and minimum focusing distance is 40cm.
The Canon RF 50mm is compatible with Canon’s new range of mirrorless cameras with RF mount.
