Description

The Canon CN-E 30-105mm T2.8 L is a standard-focal range cinema zoom Lens. It joins the ranks of other Canon Cinema lenses designed for the production community. Consequently, the lens resolves 4K-resolution (4096 x 2160 pixels). In addition, the CNE 30-105 is available in EF or PL mount.

Supports 4K Production Standards

High optical design enables use with 4K-resolution(4096 x 2160 pixels) cameras. To clarify, 4K exceeds the resolution of Full HD by a factor of four. The CN-E 30-105mm T2.8 is compatible with Super-35mm and APS-C sized sensors.

Minimum fixed f/2.8 Aperture

This offers bright performance, and the flexibility to shoot in very low lit environments. And with no changes in brightness during zooming, enables attractive bokeh when employing a shallow depth of field. It also features fluorite and large aspherical lens elements. These allow the lens to achieve sharp, consistent images throughout its zoom range. This offers peace of mind to the user that the image will stay consistent and sharp throughout.

Reduced M.O.D. of 19.7″

The lens offers a reduced minimum object distance of 23.6″ (0.6 m). The result is tighter close-ups and facilitates shooting in limited-space environments. This flexibility makes the lens popular for productions that shoot both in field and on stage.

Special Glass & Construction

The glass construction counteracts barrel expansion and contraction to avoid temperature-induced discrepancies. A beneficial feature for those who shoot under bright and hot production lights. In addition, the lens control rings maintain the proper amount of resistance. Finally, a covered flange-back adjustment mechanism meets numerous production application needs.

Better Marking Visibility

Focus, zoom, and iris markings are on angled surfaces. Consequently, they are easier to read from behind the camera.

Cinematic Blurring

The lens has an 11-blade aperture diaphragm. As a result out-of-focus areas are soft and smooth with attractive blur characteristics.

Flange-Back Adjustment Mechanism

A covered flange-back mechanism enables accurate back-focus.

Internal Focus Design

With a focus rotation angle of approximately 300 degrees, the lens facilitates precise focusing performance. Also, geared focusing minimises focus-induced changes in the angle of view, and reduces focus breathing.

Supports Standard Accessories

The lens is compatible with matte boxes and other standard accessories widely used in the motion picture production.

Advanced Optical Design and Large Aspherical Lens

The lens also features advanced optical design with fluorite and large aspherical lens elements. As a result, images are sharp and consistent throughout the zoom range.
