The ARRI Full Spectrum Neutral Density Filters come in sets of three 4 x 5.65″ ND filters. With 0.3, 0.6, 0.9, 1.2, 1.5, 1.8 and 2.4 FSND’s available. Additionally, each of the filters are 4mm thick solid ND (neutral density) filters. They can each create a darkening of the entire frame. Thus, record or photograph with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed than normally required. By slowing your exposure time or increasing your aperture, you are able to control depth of field. These neutral density filters do not affect the colour of a scene or image. Thus, ideal pairing with other filters. In addition, their plano-parallel surfaces help ensure sharp results.
The included filters reduce the amount of light entering a lens by one, two, and three or more stops. Filter construction is durable, Schott B270i glass. In addition, filter multi-coating minimises reflections. Also, an improved beading effect with water or oil for more efficient cleaning, and to enhance surface durability. Finally, the filters feature black, C-shaped edges. This rounded edge shape resists chipping while the black colouration reduces the potential for reflections.
