The ARRI/Fujinon 45-250mm Alura Studio Zoom is a long PL-mount lens. It covers Super 35mm-sized camera sensors and beyond. The 45-250mm Alura features a fast T2.6 aperture throughout its zoom range and cine-style lens ergonomics. In addition, all ARRI Alura lenses colour characteristics match ARRI’s wide selection of existing lenses. For example, the ARRI Alura 15.5-47mm.
The Alura zooms’ optical features include high resolution and contrast performance. In addition, a multi-layer coating reduces flares and veiling, chromatic aberration. Also breathing in minimised while focusing. Finally, a nine-bladed iris produces a rounded, natural-looking bokeh (out-of-focus highlights).
Focus, zoom, and iris gears are industry-standard 0.8 mod pitch. This interfaces with industry-standard lens accessories such as follow focus units and wireless F/I/Z controls. Finally, large focus scales on both sides of the lens barrel make focus pulling much easier.
